Cross-Country Ski Trail Conditions

The Aitkin County Land Department maintains three groomed cross country ski trails:

No Achen/Tank Trails (Aitkin)

MN DNR Ski Pass IS needed on this trail.

The No Achen trail goes across private land. Please respect the landowners' rights and stay on the trail. Follow the signs.

Vispo (Glen)

Sledding hill is also groomed.

Snowmobile Trail Conditions

Aitkin County has over 600 miles of groomed snowmobile trails.

Snowmobile maps are also available through Aitkin County Tourism at 1-800-526-8342.

PLEASE STAY ON THE TRAILS! Many trails cross private land. Easements run December 1st to March 31st ONLY and ONLY for snowmobiling (not ATVs). It only takes one person riding through someone's field for the landowner to close that trail segment.

We have several volunteer snowmobile clubs in Aitkin County. Please consider volunteering with a club to help maintain the trails.
